Evidence shows us that physical activity has benefits both physically for our health and also mentally for our mental health and general wellbeing.

Finding time to exercise or finding an activity that you enjoy can be a challenge.

At GTG we aim to support anything that can prevent avoidable ill health and promote good health which can include being physically active.

Working as health professionals in a physiotherapy clinic we aim to practice what we preach but like everyone it is not always easy or fun! See below for details on the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy latest campaign Love Activity, Hate Exercise? Public Campaign by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy designed to get the nation moving.

The Pride of Guernsey Awards are back for a third year and GTG are proud to announce that the Neurological Physiotherapy Team have received two nominations in the category of ‘Angel of the Year’.

Patients have expressed their thanks and pride for four of GTG’s Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants.

Team lead Physiotherapist Michelle Young and Physiotherapy Assistant Adam Sensi have been nominated for their patience and understanding when assisting a patient’s return to full health.

Clinical lead Physiotherapist Anne Coates (nee McAuliffe) and Physiotherapy Assistant Tom Jones have been nominated by a patient who describes them as ‘two lovely people’ who helped improve both their physical and mental health, ‘giving them hope for future health’.

The Pride of Guernsey Award, launched by The Guernsey Press in 2016, gives islanders their chance to recognise the individuals at the centre of our community.
